Search an Endfield gift name and you get one line back: the item, its rarity, and a sentence naming the two hobbies it matches. Fowlbeast Paper Kite, for example, is a 5โ gift for operators whose hobbies are Charity or Nature, and that is the whole description. What it does not tell you is who those operators are.
This page is the missing half. Our item data holds 16 gifts, and our operator data holds a hobby tag for 30 of the 31 operator records, so the two can be joined on the hobby label itself. Below you get every gift with the operators it matches, every operator with the gifts that match them, and the parts of the mechanic the official version notes spell out.
How the gift system works
Every gift in our database uses the same description template, with only the two hobby names swapped out:
"Give it to operators whose hobbies are [Hobby A] and/or [Hobby B] to build trust with them." – the description of all 16 gifts in our item data
Two things follow. Gifts feed the trust system rather than combat, and a gift is never tied to one named character. The match is by hobby: an operator accepts a gift if either of the gift’s two hobbies appears on their hobby tags. That is why the table below counts operators per gift rather than pairing each gift with a single owner.
Operators carry their hobbies as data tags, the same way they carry race and faction tags. Twenty-eight of the 30 records with hobbies carry exactly two; the two Endministrator variants carry one each, and the plain Endministrator record carries none at all. That gives 10 named hobbies plus one hidden tag the game renders as "???".
Preferred gifts, and the rotating [Popular] tag
The release preview notes from 2026-01-17 describe what the gifting screen actually shows you, and they add a second route to the same bonus: "Gift-Giving Optimizations: We have improved the tag displays for gifts when giving them to operators. Additionally, a new [Popular] tag has been added to certain gifts. This tag will change with each version update. Giving a gift with this tag will provide increased trust bonus just like giving an operator one of their preferred gifts."
Two things in that paragraph matter here. It confirms the hobby tags are the display the game puts in front of you when gifting, which is the same set of labels our data stores. And it introduces a [Popular] flag that rotates every version and pays the same increased bonus as a preferred gift. Our item data has no Popular field, so this page cannot tell you which gifts currently carry it.
The follow-up question, whether gifting a maxed operator is wasted, got an answer in the [Dreamscape of Wind and Snow] notes: "Optimized Operator Gifting: If an operator’s Trust is already maxed, you can still offer them gifts to complete gifting tasks."
Every hobby, and how many operators carry it
Hobby popularity decides how much choice you actually have. Sports and Nature sit on nine and eight operators respectively. Fine Arts sits on exactly one, Estella, so the three gifts carrying it are relevant to her and to whoever holds their other half.
| Hobby tag | Operators carrying it | Gifts matching it |
|---|---|---|
| Sports | 9 | 3 |
| Nature | 8 | 4 |
| Charity | 7 | 3 |
| Creative | 7 | 3 |
| Lifestyle | 7 | 4 |
| Culture | 5 | 6 |
| Mind Honing | 5 | 2 |
| Technology | 4 | 2 |
| Fashion | 3 | 2 |
| Fine Arts | 1 | 3 |
| ??? (hidden tag) | 2 | 0 |
The "???" tag is how our data stores the hobby of the two Endministrator variants (male and female). No gift lists it as a match, so the protagonist has no gift mapping in the data. The third Endministrator entry, the one without a voice actor, has no hobby tag either.
All 16 gifts and the operators they match
Sorted by gift name. The match count is the number of operators carrying either of that gift’s two hobbies, so the wider the two hobbies, the more operators the gift pleases.
| Gift | Hobbies matched | Operators |
|---|---|---|
| Aurylene Camera | Technology / Nature | 12 |
| Bizarro Cupcake | Creative / Fashion | 10 |
| Breeze of Kjersch | Creative / Fashion | 10 |
| Chubby Lung: Fangxing Memorabilia | Culture / Charity | 10 |
| Cosmic Gate Puzzle | Mind Honing / Culture | 9 |
| Der Schwingende Gentleman Classical Album | Fine Arts / Culture | 6 |
| Eureka Teabox | Lifestyle / Culture | 12 |
| Fin-n-Chips | Lifestyle / Culture | 12 |
| Fowlbeast Paper Kite | Charity / Nature | 14 |
| Frontiers Watch | Technology / Charity | 11 |
| Scrimshaw of the Pack | Sports / Lifestyle | 14 |
| Simonch Shawl | Fine Arts / Lifestyle | 8 |
| Surfing Festival Ticket | Sports / Fine Arts | 10 |
| Tidestone Specimen | Nature / Culture | 13 |
| Woven Aggelos | Creative / Mind Honing | 11 |
| Yinglung Dumbbells | Sports / Nature | 14 |
All 16 gifts share the same 5โ rarity, and our data holds no trust value, gift tier or source line for any of them. Two of the sixteen are also exact copies of another gift’s hobby pair, which the next section covers.
Which gifts to give each operator
The reverse view, alphabetical, for the 28 records that carry a normal hobby tag. Every gift in a row matches at least one of that operator’s hobbies, so any name there is a valid gift for them.
Two gifts that cover the same hobbies
Sixteen gifts do not mean sixteen different combinations. Two pairs are exact duplicates of each other’s hobby labels:
- Creative / Fashion: Breeze of Kjersch and Bizarro Cupcake
- Lifestyle / Culture: Eureka Teabox and Fin-n-Chips
For trust purposes the two members of each pair are interchangeable, going by the descriptions. The other twelve gifts each cover a combination no other gift covers, so 16 gifts resolve to 14 distinct hobby pairs.
The tightest and widest matches
If you are holding one gift and deciding who to spend it on, the match count is what matters. The four narrowest and the three widest sit at opposite ends of the range:
| Gift | Hobbies | Operators |
|---|---|---|
| Der Schwingende Gentleman Classical Album | Fine Arts / Culture | 6 |
| Simonch Shawl | Fine Arts / Lifestyle | 8 |
| Cosmic Gate Puzzle | Mind Honing / Culture | 9 |
| Bizarro Cupcake | Creative / Fashion | 10 |
| Fowlbeast Paper Kite | Charity / Nature | 14 |
| Scrimshaw of the Pack | Sports / Lifestyle | 14 |
| Yinglung Dumbbells | Sports / Nature | 14 |
The narrow end is Der Schwingende Gentleman Classical Album at six operators, because Fine Arts appears on only one record. Three gifts reach fourteen, the highest count in the set: Fowlbeast Paper Kite, Scrimshaw of the Pack and Yinglung Dumbbells.
Who matches the most gifts
The same join run the other way: operators with common hobbies have the longest list of acceptable gifts.
| Operator | Hobbies | Gifts that match |
|---|---|---|
| Alesh | Culture / Sports | 9 |
| Ardelia | Lifestyle / Nature | 8 |
| Chen Qianyu | Culture / Charity | 8 |
| Gilberta | Fashion / Culture | 8 |
| Zhuang Fangyi | Charity / Culture | 8 |
| Da Pan | Lifestyle / Charity | 7 |
What the data does not cover
Three gaps worth stating plainly, because gift pages elsewhere usually fill them by guessing:
- Where gifts come from. Our item data has a description and a rarity for each gift and nothing else, so there is no source, drop or vendor field to read. The one documented source in our news archive is event mail: the [Grand Blessings for the Spring] notes from 2026-02-15 list "Operator Giftร3" among the contents of each of the three mails. That item is not one of the 16 named gifts and does not appear anywhere in our 2,655-entry item database.
- Trust values. Nothing in the data says how much trust a gift is worth, or whether the two members of a duplicated pair pay out the same. They are described identically, and that is all we can say.
- Per-character favourites. The only link the game data gives us is the hobby tag. There is no separate "loves this gift" flag, so a gift that matches an operator’s hobby is the most the data promises.
Where to go next
The full gift list with rarity and stock descriptions lives on the item database, and every operator’s hobby, race and faction tags are on their character page. Faction tags are covered separately in our races and factions guide, and if a gift name is what brought you here, searching it on the items index will land on that gift’s own page.
